Result Sarabjit Singh's death meanness: Bollywood celebrities

"Petty" policy took the life of Sarabjit Singh, Bollywood filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar and veteran writer Javed Akhtar said, as Hindi film celebrities reacted strongly to the death of Indian death row prisoner in Pakistan.  Here `s what the celebrities posted on Twitter about his death:

Salman Khan: Freedom at last. I hope that you give to your family. We all tried, guess not enough. May God give your family strength and his soul rest in peace.

Madhur Bhandarkar: Pakistan should have sent his body before India. Feel sad for Sarabjit Singh `s family. For them, the wait time has come hopeful to a sad end. His death will always be a reminder of the small minded politics.


Javed Akhtar: Some days I can forget Kargil, but never forget Sarabjit `s murder. It is an act of extreme pettiness of mind for a very small establishment.

Mahesh Bhatt: the Sarabjit Singh `s death has fueled the relationship between India and Pakistan to the brink. Civil society in Pakistan must push their governments to act humanely.

Sarabjit Singh died in a Lahore hospital Thursday, a week after being severely beaten by two fellow inmates in prison. He was sentenced to death for bomb blasts in Lahore and Multan that left 14 dead.
